The Blog Tour Award :)

So, the lovely has nominated me for a Blog Tour Award, which is fantastic 🙂 She’s a mom and a pre-med who runs a great blog, so you should give that link a click!

So, I’ve been informed that this is how the Blog Tour Award works – I need to:

1) Pass the tour on up to four other bloggers.

2) Give your nominees the rules and a specific Monday to post.

3) Answer four questions about your creative process which lets other bloggers and visitors know what inspires you to do what you do.

  • How does my work differ from others in my genre?
  • How does my writing/creative process work?
  • Why do I write or create what I do?
  • What I’m working on at the moment?

4) Compose a one-time post on a specific Monday (date given from your nominator)

So my post date was originally supposed to be July 27th, but given that I’ll be in Europe then and that I want to save whatever wifi I have for uploading pics and travel blogging, I’ve been allowed to post today instead 🙂

So, my answers to the questions:

1) My four nominees are:

Mini MD:

Healthy, Fit Pre-Med:

On the Road to Medicine:

Nerdy Chronicles:

2) This is pretty arbitrary, and for any reason feel free to post another Monday if you need to, but I’m going to say that Monday July 27th is your post day 🙂

  • How does my work differ from others in my genre?
    • I suppose, if one considers the genre “med student blog” then I guess it’s probably just my unique voice that would set me apart as a blogger.  I’ve been told I have a very dry wit, which I hope comes through when I blog 🙂 Also, my fondness for gifs and my travel interludes are a little bit of a different flare I suppose 😉
  • How does my writing/creative process work?
    • Mostly I just blog about my life, so I guess its dependant on whether or not interesting things happen! If I’ve decided there is something I’d like to blog about that day or that week I firm up the topic, set down a title and then just sort of sit down and write what comes to mind on the subject. I then try to find gifs/pictures to supplement the post, because I feel like that helps break up the block of text, and add a little humour 😉
  • Why do I write or create what I do?
    • I started this blog when I got into medical school because I figured that medical school would be a stressful environment and that a blog would be a good creative outlet where I could also be part of a community of people in a similar situation, ahead of me on my own path or behind me that I could maybe help and advise.  I picked blogging because I enjoy writing – I also write creative fiction – but I figured blogging would take less time than that! Also, I wanted to be able to share my experience with my family, and create a record of my time at med school that I too could look back at 🙂
  • What am I working on at the moment?
    • I never really have a planned schedule for my blog, but as I’m about to go on a 24 day trip to Europe, my upcoming blogs will be travel oriented as I try and document my trip – with lots of pics, wifi permitting!

So yeah, that me 🙂 Thanks again to for the nomination, and for my nominees please feel free to post on a different Monday or hit me up with any questions regarding the award, and if not, happy blogging!

  1. Thanks so much for the nomination! I’ve been slacking off on blogging because of lack of inspiration so now I am excited to have a post to work on! Have fun in Europe, I can’t wait to see all of your photos. Thanks again!
