So, yesterday night was our second phase 2 exam, hence my week long period of radio silence. It was…a hard week, to say the least. This was a period where we had so much material, and more than half of the material on the exam was taught to us in the week before the exam, which was an unavoidable consequence of moving the exam before our spring break (as it was originally schedule after it because of room booking, so seriously, it’s partially our own faults!) but it was an exhausting week to say the least. Somehow, the anatomy on this exam made me feel like this:
It was just such a volume of anatomy and my brain felt like swiss cheese while studying it, like I was bleeding knowledge by the second. We got anatomy formatives the day before the exam, and doing them made me feel like this:
That being said, I obviously wasn’t feeling too great about the exam going into it. Add that to the fact that I was so unfocused going into the exam – perhaps due to the fact I slept pretty poorly the night before, or because it was in the evening not the morning. I rented a study room before the test for some final prep, and I was so out of it I left my student ID at the library desk for a day or two before I remembered where I’d left it. Needless to say, my head was just everywhere. Now that I’ve taken the exam, how do I feel?
Honestly, the exam wasn’t bad in the way that the last one way. This one was more representative, and more user friendly all around. It was still an exam with it’s flaws, of course, but most certainly better. Of course, I was kind of expecting the roof to fall on my head with this one, so anything would have been better than I was expecting, but yes, it was better than I was expecting. Do I think I passed it?
Honestly, I’m not really sure. It could go either way I think, and I’m cool with that because in 48 hours I’ll land in London!
But yeah, with the albatross of the exam finally free from my neck, now I finally get to be excited about my trip!! 9 days and 8 nights split between London, Paris and Amsterdam, and I can’t wait!!! I’ve promised my family plenty of pics, and if I can I’m going to try and blog them on the trip, so although I’m no photographer (as my mother complains a great deal, because yes, I don’t take pictures often) I will try to tap into my inner travel blogger for at least a week 🙂 So medical school, I love you, I really do, but for this week I’m saying:
Bring it Europe! 🙂
Seriously, I had all of those gifs already on my computer. I need help 😉
