Rewriting, LEAN and Europe!!!
So, I rewrote my first exam of medical school, and my verdict is…
I think the problem with the exam really was that it wasn’t all that representative. I won’t know if I passed until later today, but I had a pretty good feeling about it coming out, so I’m not too worried about it.
Today, however, we get to spend the whole day doing something called LEAN, which is apparently the Toyota car companies strategy of productivity that is being applied to healthcare? Yeah, we have no idea what it’s actually about, but we did get to play with Lego’s in an assembly line which had the fun side benefit of me just playing with them after the exercise was done.
Also, in more exciting news, I got my travel documents for my spring break trip to Europe!!!!
I’m doing a Contiki trip for nine days to London, Paris and Amsterdam and I can’t wait! This is my first trip out of North America, because as a pre-med I always had to work breaks to pay for school, and I think it’s going to be amazing 🙂 The itinerary includes a Jack the Ripper Tour, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace and The Eye, The Eiffel Tower, Versailles and whatever we want to do in Amsterdam, plus a whole bunch more stuff that sounds awesome! I’m super psyched for the trip, and I promise a post with plenty of pics when I get back from it 🙂
My LOC and I are doing great things together 😉
