So, I have discovered the perfect gif to sum up how I feel after exams.
They say a picture says a thousand words. I believe this one’s most repeated one might be “blaaaaahhhh.” But honestly, I’ve been so wiped after these two exams, I can’t help but see a pattern developing here. My class all wants to go out and celebrate after each one, and I’m just like:
And then, I crave Chinese food 🙂 Given that I have a buffet in walking distance of my house that has General Tao’s Chicken (buffet’s never have General Tao for some reason!) this is at least an achievable part of my post-exam cycle, if not an anticipated one. That’s my lunch plans for tomorrow, which I’m definitely going to have to follow up by finally getting that Good-Life membership, because there is way too much free pizza in med school to not be working out 😉
But, the exam. Honestly, it wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be. I retained a lot more than I thought I did, and I didn’t come out of it feeling like I failed. That said, I’m also not 100% sure I passed (60/40 at this point, because the pass leeway is surprisingly small) and one or two questions can really drop you down below that coveted 75%. I think I’m somewhere between 70-85%, but given that range includes numbers less than 75%, that’s not super comforting. This wouldn’t be a problem normally, because if I did fail I can rewrite and the rewrite is 65% of the original test and 35% new questions, but the rewrite also happens to be a week from today, and we probably won’t find out our marks until Friday. (Edit – they actually got the marks out early, because the scheduling committee is actually staffed by rock stars. I just left the Spock picture in because I love Spock!)
Sigh. Oh well, in the grand scheme of things, having med school problems are pretty darned ‘first world’ and certainly better than worrying about getting in!
But for now, sleep…and then Chinese 😉
Also, I can’t be the only person who has a bigger crush on Nimoy!Spock than Quinto!Spock, can I?
That guy in the leather coat in the back knows what I’m talking about 😉
